The Flag of our Fathers

I'm sorry I've been out of the loop for so long due to illness and attempting to reassemble my life since returning from my excursion out west. I couldn't remember the title of the thread, so my question is; what happened to the returning of the deceased veteran's memorial Flag? Do pictures exist how did it go? Can someone share the link? Thanks. Dan

I had lunch with his daughters and presented them with the flag, they were very appreciative of the teamwork, caring, and brotherhood from everyone involved that made this happen. Unfortunately, there were other events going on at the time and I was the only one there. The family brought some pictures when he was in basic, pretty amazing. I offered our services to provide his awarded medals in a shadow box, but told them we needed his DD214 (wasn't called that in 1945), and only the family has access to that. Time to check in with Mary Ann to see where we are with that.
