With the iPhone's iOS 8, podcast management and listening has become super simple now with the advent of its own app with notifications, and I've subscribed to a couple of things that I follow regularly.

One of which is the 4x4 Podcast (http://www.the4x4podcast.com), anyone else subscribed and listening in?

It's run by one of our forum members, Jeepin_Idaho, Dan Cole.

There are a ton of episodes I need to catch up on, my problem is time. My drive to work is about 6-8 minutes long, and podcasts can be lengthy.

He's even expressed some interest in getting some AAV Staff on the show for an interview!

Any other podcasts I might be missing out on??

Thanks for the mention! I really think that anyone interested in topics covered here on American Adventurist will really the show.

I really need to go back and re-record the genesis episode. Here's the short version of how the show started:

I am active duty Army and I'm frequently separated from my Jeep for work reasons. So I started the podcast so that I could at least talk about offroading and adventure. My Army life also means that episodes are not on a regular release schedule like most other podcasts. But I have been doing the show for over 3 years and I expect it will continue for the foreseeable future as long as people are okay with my generally flakey release schedule.

I'm always looking for new topics to cover, reports from the field, favorite outdoor recipes, tech questions, and feedback of every flavor. Thanks again Mitch for welcoming me, and more importantly The 4x4 Podcast, to American Adventurist! If someone wants to just check out a single episode to see if they will life the show, check out episode #50 as it features an interview with Frank of OutdoorX4.

I'm generally not a podcast guy, but I make exceptions for The 4x4 Podcast and the shows from The Brewing Network since I'm a homebrewer.

Yeah, they're doing a great job with the Podcast no doubt. I was fortunate enough to be on the Podcast twice (episode #50 and the current episode talking about the BFG KO2 Tire). Super nice guys indeed. Dan featured a recipe for Dutch Oven chili in our charter issue. You can check it out at http://issue1.outdoorx4.com.

Just wanted to give you a heads up about the latest episode of the show. Episode 87 was just published yesterday and includes an interview with Jason from Mountain State Overland. One thing you might enjoy is the Outdoor Edibles segment where we talk about an orange chicken recipe. It was delicious! But I need to warn you, if you're not a fan of spicy food you might be using the phrase "poop-a-nuke."
