Something Positive

As i recover from my second ankle surgery and ponder this last year I am thankful for AA, and a few other forums. These places allow for respite from so much hate, intolerence, ignorance and divisiveness that plagues so much off this country. These enthusiast forums are good for the members that are excited to do what the enjoy. While i live vicariously as I heal I wish you all a happy and safe holiday season.

Stay safe out there,
Kevin

Very well said Kevin! I am glad that you and I had the chance to meet at Overland Expo last year. It's places like this that build lasting friendships over common interests.

Hope you're back on your feet soon.

My wife broke her ankle a couple of years ago, turned into a 10 month marathon before she was walking on her own again.

Hope your recovery is a speedy one @Kevin LaCroix! All that waiting around to heal up while sitting around would have me twitchier than a bug on a hot plate.

I understand completely. I had a knee replacement last January. I had a lot of issues with swelling and did a lot of second guessing as to whether I had done the right thing. I have no doubts now. You will heal man! Don't let the doubts and inactivity get to you. Also yoga helped a lot in maintaining muscle tone and flexibility. There are a lot of positions that can be done even with limited mobility. Just get online, research it, and stick with the basics (especially the breathing). This was what inspired me.
Be sure to watch the whole thing. It really does work. Good Luck!
