We're in the final stretch to DRV!

It's time to post up your intentions for the Saturday Night Festivities Dutch Oven Competition and Pot Luck. You may select multiple items in the poll.

Once again, Tembo Tusk will be sponsoring the competition, so you're liable to win some AWESOME Tembo Tusk gear. He will also be showing off his line of camp tables. Quite literally.. They'll be in a line with Dutch Ovens on them! :D

Voting will be done by the diners again via token in a can like last time.



The Details... (still developing)


  • Your Dutch Oven Competition and Pot Luck coordinators are myself, Cris (BlkWgn), and Stuart.

  • Ground Zero will be not far from the main fire ring, Tembo Tusk will be set up there. It will be hard to miss.

  • Guests will be given three 'tokens' to vote with. Guests may place them any way they see fit; all in one, one in three, or any combination.

  • In a show of respect for the time that the chefs put into their dish, the chefs will be the first to sample from the dutch ovens.

  • It should go without saying, BUT, please be mindful of sample sizes, so that the guests have something to eat.


Ideas, suggestions and comments welcome, as always.

I'm voting main, as bringing a vegetarian main is the easiest way to ensure my wife will have something to eat! ;-)
 
I may give my French Fries a shot again. They were a hit right up until I caught the desert on fire last year!:lol Lesson learned, vegetable oil can be TOO hot!

They were tasty, and I always enjoy a good pyro show. I vote you make them again

If I had known this I'd be heading that way already with a smorgasbord of Dutch oven delights!:chef
 
Wow, only 5 entries... looks like an easy win for me this year :stir
 
I'm picking up my new FWC Hawk very soon and need to prepare more intensively for the Dutch Oven competition. I'll just be all the more tactically prepared for next time. MOO HOO HA HA! That's the name of my new secret dish...
 
We're in as well. Don't know what we'll be making yet.

(Edit: forgot a period and it bothered me. )

Hard to believe a full roster of 120 and only 7 entrants? Time to Cowboy up and commit :bbq
