Rubicon Crash

Damn lucky he was able to basically get forward momentum stopped before the roll over. And even luckier after the rollover they both replied with I'm good. Hate seeing stuff like this but that's why even crawling seat belts or harnesses are important.

Having no sound at work, it looks like they lost brakes. Like Brett said, luckily they were able to scrub speed before rolling off that hillside.

That battery wasn't tied down either and saw it flailing around still attached by the cables... yikes!

The video doesn't make any sense to me. Assuming it was a loss of brakes and the vehicle was in low range, I would have downshifted and tried turning uphill, rather than downhill. Lessons learned!
I agree. I kept thinking why not start using the bushes ASAP as friction to get slowed down etc. maybe he panicked who knows.

I agree with Bob, etc. low gear, head uphill, apply parking break. Thats my normal set of actions for when I lose brakes... (3 times, all in a 1966 Mustang)

Looks pretty heavily modified at the end of the video. Probably brake failure, and one wonders if he even had the parking brake. It's easy to make guesses of what you'd do, until you are in the situation and your monkey brain takes over, and everything else goes out the window.

Those are pretty much my thoughts. Many "buggy" guys have done a rear disc swap (myself included) & that doesn't generally come with a parking break.

I've lead "Cliffhanger" in Moab multiple times for various events but now I've got a serious case of the hebe jeebies! There's a tremendous amount of exposure at the main obstacle!
