I've got Superwinch 8500LP. It doesn't want to fit in the available space to mount. (Long story for another time.) One way to approach would be to remove and remotely locate the controller box but the forward/reverse handle which turns won't move through its full range in the available space.
I haven't disassembled yet but it seems I cannot clock that end of the winch to get the handle off the top and into a bigger space. Is there a readily available replacement handle that I should be looking for? This handle is the 90 degree curved chrome jobber.
I did see some other brand winches that have a different style handle, more like the fan switch on most auto HVAC systems.
My Google-fu is failing me here. Anybody got some pointers on whether there is a solution out there?
