So I bought the Redi-Top table that @BlkWgn posted about in the Internet Marketplace section.
The table folds fairly flat. About the same as any other table of the same size.
Seems to hold some weight. 40 lbs. of water.
The locks to keep the the top from folding have solid positions both open and closed, though the tab that holds the bar in either position is plastic. Time will tell if they hold up.
The front clamps that hold the table to the tailgate, or any other freestanding table, extend to five inches. The silver lever is to release the clamp not to tighten. Low risk of over clamping and denting the tailgate. The red rubber pads should protect the paint reasonably well and keep the table from sliding away.
One little hiccup is one of the tabs to keep the first section of the folding leg in the extended position is a wee bit "sluggish" engaging. Not worth me sending it back. Just need to exercise some due diligence when extending that portion of the leg and ensuring that it is locked. A slight jiggle and it pops into place.
All in all I am pleased with the Redi-Top Portable Table.
