Off-Road Magazine Baja Article (Sept 99)

Going through some old boxes today I saw an old Off-Road magazine from Sept 1999. I remember reading and dreaming of the "Avalanche" (custom rock buggie on the cover.) Those buggies were a relatively new concept at that time, and the go anywhere idea was exciting and adventurous. The article included toward the back of the magazine didn't interest me in the slightest... It's funny how our perspectives change.

Looks like the quality got chopped down a little too much when posting. I'll see if I can get the originals up tomorrow, so it can be read. Nothing ground-breaking, but an interesting flashback to 15 years ago.

It sure is! My idea of a go anywhere vehicle turned into a rock crawler, that while fun to drive... isn't that fun when covering a lot of ground. As I've aged, I'm back to the go anywhere idea, but within reason!

Wow, pretty cool find on your end! It's certainly interesting to see how that sort of travel has been around for quite a long time despite getting a fancy name for it in late 2006/2007.
