It's official. We're moving to Illinois. Somewhere near Navy boot camp at Great Lakes (North Chicago area by the WI border).

How many of our members are in the Midwest Region?

Congratulations on the new posting. Its a nice part of the world, and not a bad area to be stationed. Saint Robert, Missouri just outside Fort Leonard Wood.

Awesome. I went to Army basic training and AIT long ago at Leonard Wood. Many fond memories of the Ozarks ;)
 
I went to "A"school in Great Lakes. I was there from Jan-Mar, before global warming, damn near froze my ass off. No fond memories!

I reported for Navy boot camp in January back in the day. Back when we still had to march everywhere outside, before all the plush new construction.

The wind off that lake is no joke in winter.
 
I left Minnesota in February '68 for balmy Fort Dix NJ, 20 below to 30 above it was Heaven![emoji33]
