Medano Pass ?

Hey fellow campers I have a question about Medano Pass. My wife and I are leaving on a trip in a few weeks and I want her to see Great Sand Dunes Natl Park. I have been before but in a pretty capable 4X4. My question is, as I don't remember, will my Superduty 4x4 with FWC be able to make the pass? Are there any tight areas? I seem to remember seeing a full size or two on the trail?

Roger, there are rolling bumps on the way up from the east that may have gotten bad enough in the last few years to give your long wheel base rig some trouble. I remember there being two tight squeezes between trees near the trail that heads off toward Blueberry peak, then moderately narrow until you are on the other side of the creek and start dropping into Great Sand Dunes NP.

Iffy. Might need to get some current Intel. Maybe ask Tony?
