Not quite sure what to make of this. Hopefully, the bears are fairly tame and well trained. Even so, as Sigfreid and Roy proved. even a "trained" wild animal can be dangerous. Hopefully, if one of the bears winds up injuring or killing one of these idiot contestants, they won't destroy the poor animal.

They used to fight bears and tigers back in the day.. but the bears always won... It was supposedly hard to get them to fight not being natural enemies and all, but once you got the Grizz angry enough there was just no stopping 1000 plus pounds of fury...

That's why it didn't last as a spectacle...

Now when my dad was young he had a uncle that owned a beer store with a boxing ring in the back yard. They would bring gorillas and kangaroo around for people to fight. Them were some good stories!

Just caught a commercial for "The Kings of Pain", apparently these brain surgeons deliberately get bit/stung/inflicted, by venomous creatures ON PURPOSE, just to see how bad the pain is...BRILLIANT...
