Malkoff Devices

I wanted to put a plug in for Gene Malkoff of Malkoff Devices. Gene makes very high end LED replacements for Maglite, Streamlight, and Surefire flashlights. I've rebuilt two Maglites, my Surefire 9P, and my Surefire 11/87 shotgun forend with his LEDs. Super bright and extremely rugged. He sells a lot of stuff to cops.

this seems like it could be expanded into a full review, maybe some photos of the lights you have converted, details on what you had to do to convert them, light output and battery runtime differences

If they weren't sold out of the 3-6D cell conversions I'd buy one to test in my maglite....

These conversions are the... er, really awesome. Breathes all-powerful new illuminating life into an otherwise solid, albeit outdated, piece of gear. Kind of like finding out that your old 1969 Chevy Camaro is really a Transformer.

Yeah, @Optimistic Paranoid, that would be really appreciated if you could do a little write up from one of your stable of lights...

I believe I still have the original parts that came out of the lights . . . which would allow me to restore the lights to factory standard temporarily. I could then take a few before and after shots at night.

Only problem is, I'm in upstate NY, where the bottom has just dropped out of the thermometer, so I won't get to this until it warms up some. Or I acclimatize to the temperatures, whichever comes first.

We are a patient lot, except for @Dave. I'm sure your upcoming review will be appreciated when you get the opportunity John.

Shouldn't you east coast guys be used to that weather? We're getting poured on over here! Now get out there and snap some photos!

In all seriousness, I'm looking forward to a review! These look like great revitalizers for burnt out/old torches.
