Looking for new camping spots

The wife & I took off early this morning to spend the day running some trails (doing a little 4x4) looking for new camping spots.

Started off Cripple Turkey Trailhead in the Sylamore Rangers District & finished up in Leatherwood Wilderness Area in the Ozarks in our state of Arkansas.

Had a chance to try out the new Magellan TR7 Navigation Offroad GPS Unit. Had a great time, got to see some new country in the Ozarks, when down some pretty narrow trails, a few down large limbs (we cut & removed them) Ole Heavy my 2000 GMC Z71 done great, got to stretch out (flex) the suspension some & got into some tight areas, overall in & out without any problems. Found one nice camping spot @ Spring Creek in the Leatherwood Wilderness Area, & entered the gps coordinates.

2nd offroad Trek (trail run) was 16.7 miles long the speeds varied from 5 mph to 18 mph.

Sounds like an adventurous day exploring new camping spots in Arkansas! It's fantastic to hear about your off-road journey through the Ozarks. The Ozarks have some beautiful scenery. Your experience cutting through trails, removing obstacles, and finding a serene camping spot at Spring Creek in the Leatherwood Wilderness Area sounds truly rewarding. Wishing you many more fun adventures finding new camping spots with the wife!
