Let's See Your Fire Pit

I am thinking of putting a fire pit in my backyard. Since the AQMD will soon ban all fires along the coast on public lands, I can spew smoke in my own yard and not impact the environment too badly.

So... Let me see what sorts of fire pits you have in/on your property.

Here's some cool ones

Hollowed out logs make amazing fires...

No pit at home but these are places where we camp.

At this year's Country Fried Weekend (burning the carved bear head)

I shot a little video of it before the bear went on.
I also shot a little bit of TangoBlue when he dozed off by the fire but the light was too low and it's just black footage with some snoring noises...
My bear video isn't working for some reason too.

Well it's not at home but this is our new propane portable camp fire. First time using it. :)

I don't personally have a firepit (or technically a backyard) but a superintendent who works for us built this for a customer and it's pretty awesome:

In some circles, the owner may be considered just that, but I cannot reveal confidential client info.

However, I thought the OP would appreciate some design features pictured here.

With having a nice weekend in between storm systems it was time for a fire out in the backyard pit...

Nice shot Haggis! Very nice spot you have there.

Hell its only a 8 hour drive from RI. Come on down this weekend. Goose hunting Friday, bear hunting on Saturday and all the vittles you can eat.

I would, seriously. But alas, I'm on a flight to Chicago early Thursday am (going to a Navy boot camp tour/graduation) and will be back on the ground in RI after midnight early Saturday am. By the time I got to Titusville it would be time to go... and I have a heavy work load at the moment with my mid term next week.

I am looking at maps for the following weekend though, we have 4 days off after the mid term... :map

My fire pit is the end of some pressure tank. I have no idea where it came from, I got it as payment for a handyman job:

Obviously this is from a few months ago, but this is the new set up in our backyard.
