Hilux vs Tacoma

I've always loved the lines of the current and previous model Tacomas. The Hilux (while cool with it's unubtanium diesel platform) just never did much for me. This, however, has me questioning my particular denomination of Toyota religion.

All I can say is when I was in Iceland I couldn't help myself but drool all over the diesel HiLux's crawling all over the place. Stock snorkels and all (Looked like stock to me anyway). Love em

I'm not one to talk with the rigged together mast for the cellphone repeater on my roof rack, but as cool as this thing is, would you think the popup roof vents mounted on the leading face of the camper would survive rubbing tree branches?
 
^^^^better than the lights will! I've often wished for a sunroof/window over the head area of my camper, nothing cooler than laying in bed watching the stars.

^^^^I've got a sawzall too...going to have to run it past the boss first. I wonder if she'll let me do her side first just to see how it works out.:rolleyes:
 
Looks pretty cool. About $50K worth of carbon fiber there though... it would need to be CF even for a Hilux IMHO.
