There has to be a back story there... escaping a forest fire or some form of imminent doom? :wow

I remember seeing this photo a while back and the story that went along with it, but for the life of me I can't find it anymore. Did find a couple more photos.

There was also mention on a social media site that the owner had someone bring in a backhoe and they used it to pick up the back end of the trailer and navigate it around corners to make it out.

cost of a backhoe had to be pricey. I wonder what damages were done to the trailer before & after the backhoe. You know that hitch was in some serious stress. Makes me wonder what goes threw an individuals head to make any attempts like this.

I wish I could find the original story. I might be mis-remembering, but I seem to recall that the camper had been towed in with no problem to whatever the spot was a the top of the hill. It was only the next day that the owners realized they couldn't go out the way they came in and had to go this direction. They called a friend to come pull the camper out with the Ford in the photos.

Who needs a camper this size? A family of 13 maybe... If you need this to be comfortable outdoors, just stay home, IMO

we were camping with our son this last week-end @ the narrows, the weather was in the low 80's to mid 80's during the day with little to no humidity. You would be surprised how many stayed in there RV's with a\c going, & never came out of them. At night you can see the flickering of TV's going & still no outside activities from them. My son has a 29.5 tongue pull camped next to us, he & his family were outside & about chill'n & grill'n until quiet time 10pm. Sally & I love them twin girls, they had us in stitches the whole week-end on those electric scooters with all the racing & scooter wrecks they had, playing cornhole bean bags & badminton, digging up worms.
Had few folks stop by to check out our camper, one guy was following me on Facebook on both offroad trailer builds. group We've visited for an hour.
