Gigapower Torch Alternative? Cartridge gas firestarter?

After a soggy evening that tested my fire starting abilities(thankfully I brought my own, well-seasoned kindling), I'm interested in finding a torch of some sort that will attach to my Primus bottles(canned gas).

So far I've found the Snow Peak torch, but being lazy me, I sure wouldn't mind finding one with a piezo igniter.

MSR doesn't have a torch/firestarter. Neither does Primus. I can't imagine that SP is the only one that does, so I figured I check with you folks here.

Any suggestions aside from bringing along a plumber's torch?

Thanks!

Actually, all of the canister stoves basically are just glorified torches. I used to lust after that Snow Peak torch, until I had a "duh" moment one night in camp and realized I already had one: the burner on my JetBoil. Granted it's not quite as sleek or hot as a proper torch, but for the purpose of getting a (wet) campfire started they work just as good.

If you absolutely, positively have to have a "torch" and don't want to ante-up for the Snow Peak, Benzomatic is cheap and basically the same thing. They've even got an article on this very thing: https://www.bernzomatic.com/Community/Projects/Explore/Start-a-Campfire

We use the Bernzo's at work, get them at Lowes Hardware, they're good for everything torch related and I use them for my campfire/grill/charcoal lighter all the time.

I used the burner from my Primus at one point, which is when the idea came to me....it was an OSHA warning waiting to happen.

I'm not opposed to any one brand or the other, but I'm lazy and want a starter, so that was the main turn-off for the Snow Peak.

I figured one of the other brands would have an equivalent out there.

I'm torn on piezo ignition. I have a Jetboil from 2005 and I'm amazed the clicker still works, but I've had BBQ grills that didn't even last a season with a functioning clicker.

I have a cheap Chinese knock off burner I use when backpacking or camping off the motorcycle. It's probably close to 15 years old now and the piezo starter still works after plenty of wet evenings and years of bouncing around in motorcycle luggage off road. I'll admit I've thrown OSHA and boyscout warnings to the wind and used it to start a fire or two, typically when camping in the damp river bottoms of NW Georgia.

I LOVE my SP gigatorch. The versatility of being able to use multiple fuel surces (with adapters) is a nice feature. I know the new version has a handle and different attachment aparatus.

The bernzomatic propane torch head is smaller and makes fire... but can it be used to put a dragon in its place or power a hot air baloon? Lol

Been there...done that...I'll stick with the torch and fat wood...those work in rainforest humid conditions too.
