Review: Tembo Tusk Camp Table System

I've seen quite a few different solutions for camp tables over the years. Few can match the beauty and refinement of the newly released Camp Table System from Tembo Tusk.

Hand made in the USA and featuring steel construction with beautiful bamboo surfaces and stainless hardware, each table has removeable legs that store in the table (15" wide x 32.5" long x 1" thick). It easily stores in most off road drawer systems and the easily adjustable feet on each leg ensure stability on any outdoor surface.

Featuring a modular approach, more tables can be added for an endless surface if feeding an army or an "L" shaped arrangement can be had for cooking and serving in a more intimate setting. The optional wash basin is a really nice feature that everyone can appreciate, and other table systems currently available omit this important feature. A heavy duty canvas carrying bag is included with each table or accessory to protect them from rattles and scrapes on the way to camp. Below you can see the entire Camp Table System broken down flat and stored for transport.

The bottom line?
Tembo Tusk makes many high quality innovative products and the Camp Table System is a nice way to add a little luxury to your campsite. It's bamboo surfaces and wash basin make food preparation and cleanup easy, and it's easy to put up, take down and stores easily in a small flat space. It’s a real contender for those seeking to bring some nicer appointments along when enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, or those looking to add more surface area to their patio barbecue arrangement at home. Nice overview, Dave. We're looking to do a table comparison in issue #2 of OutdoorX4 and this is one of the tables we'll include. Curious to see who else has used the TemboTusk table as I know the quality of Jerry's products are top-notch (I have a custom drawer system that, despite not fitting my rig properly, is absolutely phenomenal in its quality and design).

Boy, those tables sure beat the folding card table we used to haul around in our VW bus WAY back in the day... the wobbly p.o.s., LOL. Not that I'll ever need a table this nice, I'm happy setting up my field kitchen on a flat waist-high boulder, using a Mexican blanket as a tablecloth, but sometimes there ARE NO BOULDERS from which to choose. At such times, I usually use the flat trunk or slightly sloping hood of the Camry. But these tables shown here are sweet... I really like these gear reviews, even if I have no intention of buying what's featured, I just like to see what's on the market in case I ever hit the big-time, LOL. That first photo is killer, good place to set up these tables as a bar and food service area for a little party in the field... maybe an extra table or two for the extravehicular sound system.

Thanks Yuman!

Just got back from some field testing in the Mojave Preserve over the holidays. Used the Lantern Hanger every night for five nights. Easy to set up, did not blow away in heavy night time winds and stored in a bag the size of a wine bottle. Worked very well! A link to our trip pictures
