Saw this on the news today and found the youtube video. Apparently the guy was being chased by the cops and either hit the spike strip or tried to avoid the spike strip..... the end result is nuts.

Stolen Tacoma was traveling in excess of 100 mph during a chase, left the road to avoid spike strips and went airborne clearing a fence and landing on an unoccupied car. The aftermath:

That video is outstanding! I had some good chases during my time, but never had one do that. If someone is really board use the take off angle, the difference in height from take off spot and landing spot and the distance traveled to get speed the truck was traveling when it launched.

That video is going to be played at every one of that guy's parole hearings. Supposedly he was on a work crew from the local jail, stole the truck to escape.

@Bushead... it could be worse... I thought Jay was going to provide a critical review of the video itself. Paragraphs and paragraphs about composition, lighting, film speed, sound engineering, exposure, editing, etc., etc., etc.,...

With the buzz-kill I figured we all just dodged a bullet!
