Family camping vs hunting camp

I can't believe the differences between the two lol. I'm asking a million questions in regards to hunting camp I've got that down. Been doing it for years and am starting to get a little more comfy with my truck fridge.

Family camp doesn't require more gear but is recommended. I'm starting to wonder if I bought a big enough truck lol. I definitely see the reason of trailers now.

That's why we made the move to an 80 & a trailer:D

With 3, the 80 even feels small at times...

Once I got the fridge in yesterday (finally) I looked at my wife and said I'm not sure it's all gonna fit lmao.

The problem is the larger the vehicle, the more stuff that appears, and the more that appears the more you have to pack. Ask me how I know :clowncar

Borrow a JK for a 2 trips 1st trip it's stuff, cram etc., second trip you really get it down to what you need. Don't ask me how I know

I had a YJ. Then went to the avalanche forever. Had an F250 I would flat tow the avalanche occasionally. Now the tacoma. I think it's easier to get rid of the family lol

Nah, there's where the joy comes in. watching a kid fishing or just playing with sticks and rocks not some electronic gizmo or making Smores so you can bag them an tell little one to practice and go make so more?

The wifey loves the camping but hates trudging around gear, set up, and break down. Thats why I am building a trailer so I can only hear half of the complaints.

My camping equipment doubled after we started camping and then she said she wanted to rough it and it shrunk.

1-3 days we can back pack it.

3+ we set up our 14 person tent!!!

Whole week in the desert, building the trailer!!!

Im in on this too. We have always camped it but now my wide wants a Lil more comfort. I have been considering just buying one of those "offroad" pop ups.

Took m wife to Death Valley for a week of exploring, worked great ….put her up at the Furnace Creek Inn and off I went to play in the dirt. LOL

Hmmm...I take more for major hunting trips. There's game hoists for skinning and butchering, portable 12v water tank for cleaning the kill, cutting boards, knives and packaging materials, guns, guns and guns, ammo, hunting clothes and sundry gear, coolers for bringing the meat and skins back, sometimes (depending on if there is electric available) there's also a commercial meat grinder and sealer riding around. And than there's all the standard camping gear on top of it all. That'a a lot of stuff.

Family camping is easy-peasey. :hotdog
