You know you’re in the right place when you find the weathered, hand-carved sign hanging from an ocotillo in the middle of Anza-Borrego State Park.  The sign moves around from time to time, but it always marks the place where each year something happens that is unique to the adventure travel community.  It’s a gathering where old friends can reconnect, and new friends are made.  It’s a place where you can learn the skills you need to be safe in the backcountry, or get inspired about how to build your vehicle.  It’s a place where you and your family can eat world-class food cooked from a Dutch-oven under a canopy of stars.  And it’s the place where everyone comes to help leave the place better than they found it, by picking up thousands of pounds of trash from your public lands.  This is the SoCal Desert Rendezvous – hosted by American Adventurist.

Great event, great people, great effort, great story.

I'm VERY proud of how this group of like minded Adventurists gives back to the community year after year!

7 years of grassroots Rendezvous events and counting!
 
It's simply amazing to see how this and the other Rendezvous events have matured and grown over the past seven years. There's simply nothing quite like an American Adventurist Rendezvous - it captures the essence of what we all enjoy - the bounty of the American outdoors, the spirit of adventure, the zeal for learning, and the fellowship of a diverse group of like-minded venturers. Behind these events are a dedicated cadre who shy away from the limelight - I won't embarrass them by naming them - but a special 'thank you' for your dedication and hard work. Your passion for this community and our guests is directly reflected in the success of DRV. But our gratitude is extended even more to the Adventurists who select these Rendezvous events to attend... you ARE the community and your participation through donations and labor set the example for others to follow. You demonstrate responsible and safe camping and off-highway vehicle operation that influences others to emulate. Thank you for attending and see you again next year!
 
Very Proud to be a member, Thank you to all of the sponsors for the give a ways and your support. I missed the group photo but not the event. Good times had by all. Thank you again.
