Cots

We have had several discussions on other threads about sleeping situations but nothing solid about cots. Im curious to see if anyone is using cots as their sleeping arrangements. I was looking at picking up some of these for the kids: http://kamprite.com/shop/cots/kamp-rite-economy-cot/

they seem to be ok and for the price you cant go wrong. Plus they pack up very nice.....

what is everyone elses thoughts about cots?

We went to cots instead of an air mattress when we tent camp using our big tent. Standard Coleman cots have worked fine for us over the years.

I use one solo in the excursion, 2 when we tent camp....

I have a Cabelas cot with a 2 inch foam pad on top. It it very comfortable but a little bulky.

I used my Roll-A-Cot in the OZTent at OVX this year. I draped a fleece blanket over the sides to keep any drafts from blowing under. That and a Thermarest pad kept me toasty during the severe (fun) weather we had.

I got this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-Instant-Tent-Cot-with-Rainfly-Sleeps-1/22716933 for our cross country road trip. We mostly sleep on my sleep platform in the back of my Tacoma but my wife has a touch of insomnia so she wanted a place were she can go and read and fall asleep. It is very similar to the OZ Tent Jet Bent Bunker but at a quarter of the cost. I know it isn't the quality of OZ but it should do the trick for the few times we use it.
