Coffee addiction..

I know I can't be the only one with a coffee addiction. I'm travelling through AZ this weekend, and we stopped at Starbucks. I don't particularly care for their coffee, but my mother in law and wife love it, so that's where we stop. I did notice when I ordered my iced coffee, I had the option of the new 31 oz "trenta" size.. Which I don't get at any Starbucks locations near my home, so I ordered an iced coffee and dumped a little half and half in it.. Yummy! I know there are other coffee addicts here.. So tell me, do you have a favorite coffee chain?

Maxwell House original roast, not a addict but that's what I like when I do drink it. Earl Grey tea on the other hand, I'm a massive addict.

If you're ever in Houston there are two coffee houses I HIGHLY recommend visiting: Diedrich's Coffee on Montrose and Minutti Coffee located downtown on Travis near Jones Hall. Minutti has a drink called "Dirty Chai" which is espresso infused with chai tea. It's freaking awesome! Diedrich's has a Dulce de Leche coffee which is also awesome.

Aside from that, the wife and I brew coffee at home, usually at the rate of two cups a day. Yes, we're addicts. ;)

Mmmm dirty chai sounds awesome. I wish I could get away with only two cups a day.. I usually go through a pot or better a day.

Dirty chair? Doesn't sound very tasty... lol
Tim Hortons has a wicked good cup of joe, if youre lucky enough to live near one and aren't a coffee snob....

Navy coffee...if the spoon doesn't stand up in it, the coffee isn't strong enough!

My favorite coffee chain is my own place, wherever that is. I do like Starbucks komodo dragon or Sumatra grounds. A little Bailys' Irish crème makes it yummy!
I have several different ways to make coffee wherever I am.

I do have to say Navy coffee is the nastiest stuff I have had to drink even though I did have 5-10 cups a day! (20year navy veteran)

Old Bisbee Roasters..... If you enjoy grinding your own beans, AND love good coffee from all around the globe..

Hmm. OBR looks interesting. Starbucks, I have no use for whatsoever. They ground my last bag into dust.

Diedrichs used to be very good. All but gone in CA now. Peets is much better than Starbucks, but again, not many locations here any longer. Good stiff, melt the spoon French Roast or other dark roast is my poison. Love a good cup of dark roast with a shot of expresso!

Ahhh... Peets. Remember it well. Some 20+ years ago I recall going to their corner store in Menlo Park at Santa Cruz and University for that same dark roasted brew. Starbucks was a mere Mer-tadpole with a few stores in Seattle.

Old Bisbee Roasters is legit! They (Seth) offer a discount for LEO, Military etc. Theyre a one shop business that sources beans from all over the globe. Check them out

I already did! Placing an order with them this week. Now where is that grinder I stored away..

I roast my coffee in a whirly pop over a gasoline stove in the cockpit and brew it with either an aeropress or Bialetti pot. The travel kit takes up a healthy amount of room in the panniers, but is totally worth it.
