ASOLO BOOTS

I've been a fan of a particular Asolo boot namely the GTX95 and up until a year or so REI carried them but recently they have "upgraded" to a newer costlier style. I was told Asolo no longer made that boot. After trying the new and improved I was very unhappy especially after buying not 1 but 2 pairs. I scrounged around on Amazon and E Bay but could find only size 8 and 14 which reinforced the notion that Asolo wasn't producing that particular boot any longer. A whim made me search beyond the Google first page pablum and discovered the Asolo factory page where low and behold they still sold my boots and at 2/3 of the price of REI with free delivery and no sales tax. Needless to say I ordered a couple of pairs and anticipated a several week delivery delay but my boots arrived direct from Italy in 3 days by Fed Ex!! So if you happen to be an Asolo fan order from the factory. BTW I did receive a call from customs asking some product questions before they would clear them for delivery but still within the 3 days.

That's good news, and good intel! Thanks for sharing Woody!

I picked up a pair of Asolo boot from the rei used gear sale a few years ago. Looked like they were tried on but never worn outside, $15. My keen fit me better so they get more wear time, but the Asolo has been a great boot

I think boots are a lot like motorcycle helmets in that some brands/ models fit and wear better in each individuals situation. For example Shoei hemets fit a different head shape than a Arai.. I say whatever works for you go for it especially if it's a deal.

LOL... I see what you did there... and now we'll get a gajillion opinion posts on motorcycle helmets in a boot thread. Way to go Woody! :D

I plan ahead Tango, for example I have the infamous oil thread in reserve. :lol Just stoked to find my boots and save $70 a pair
