While out and about on Sunday in the San Diego area I spotted a Tacoma that I wasn't sure I'd ever see in person. At first glance I thought it was like many of the Tacoma’s that I see in the area that feature the standard "look cool" items, but as I got closer I remember reading an article about this particular dress-up. I had my wife scramble to take a picture for me; however, this is the best we could do with a cell phone in bad weather.
What you can't see in the picture, are the majority of accouterments that make up the Stage 3 XPLORE Toyota Tacoma (minus the RTT).

I think many of us here agree that there are very few vehicles on the market right now that meet our wants/needs directly off the showroom floor. Xplore Vehicles is attempting to reach out to our market, but have they hit that mark?
I can't help but assume much more of the $10k price tag for this package goes toward superfluous dress-up items I wouldn't be willing to pay for. The matte clear-coat paint treatment does look cool, but makes the exterior of the truck more difficult to clean and allows scratches to stand out like a highlighter. The custom embroidered seats work just like stock, but add expense. Multiple badges are affixed to the interior and exterior of the truck to help brand it further. It comes off as a status symbol that successfully stands out to everyone but the people in their niche market.
I believe these trucks will continue to stay rare... or maybe I just hope they will.
