Looks like a blast, hopefully the ammo situation will be a little better by MRV and we can hit one of the range areas up the mountain

Nice. I would have liked to attended the shoot, and I did bring my rifle but with the winds picking up and our daughter not feeling well, we had to head out.

2013 Desert Rendezvous Steel Shoot

Great collection of Toyotas out at the steel shoot. Coincidence? I think not... ;)

Steel targets at various ranges - we had them from 75 meters out to over 450 for rifle and brought out the whirly gig aka Texas star for pistol

I'm so pissed i missed out on this. I wish it had been on Saturday oh well it’s nice to see Americans doing American things

How many new shooters gave it a go?

Zero. We had a certified instructor out there but those 3 who signed up were no shows... We had 40 sign up for the shoot but only 10 or so showed. The VERY windy conditions kept a lot of people away, but that gave more time for the rest of us!

I left my guns at home, because It's impossible to buy ammo right now. And I have a limited supply on hand. I went to the shoot to take pics for the group and share.

Thank you Dave for letting me shoot your M&P. I have been shooting since I was just 7 years old. But always conventional rifles, and hand guns. never a rifle with a pistol grip, so that was a new experience for me. It felt awkward for me, so it's something I would have to get used to with pratice. Do you know that your mean looking gun....hehe....has a rear peep sight just like the one on my WWll era British .303 that my Dad left me? Mine has a small and large peep, and it flips back and forth. Now I want an AR~15, so I can master it! The low recoil is awesome. And did I feel a shock absorber in the stock, or what ever you call it? I love the light weight and action. One amazing machine!

And thank you Jako! Not sure if you are on here yet. For letting me shoot your awesome Browning Buckmark .22 semi~auto with red dot scope! I found that I was hitting almost every thing I aimed it! That is one amazing little hand gun! I love it! I want one now! You told me that everyone you let shoot it goes out and buys one right away.

Thank you Andy! You are a Professional! Awesome job! I went to the shootout to take pics to share for the group. I left my guns at home because I can't find ammo to buy, to replace what I shoot right now. And I have a limited supply. Thank you Dave for letting me shoot your M&P. That was so fun. I have never shot a rifle with a pistol grip! Now I want one! And thank you Jako for letting me shoot your Browning Buckmark in .22 LR. That is one awesome plinker! Especially with the red dot scope! How fun! Now I want one.....just like you said! Most fun shootout I have had since I was just 7 years old! When Dad taught me on our old Remington Speedmaster .22! What an Awesome day!
