Thanks for the warm welcome and to the great group of guys that put this together. Great weather, fun trails, TONS of food, and informative camp fire conversation. Also to an excellent impact on basically the only garbage I saw in my recent 12 days exploring Anza Borrego area. The area reflect how California off roaders are very proud and rightly so of a wonderful 640,000 acres park. Although I didnt win anything at the raffle (because I lost my ticket DUH!) I won in so many other ways. Thanks!

I had fun,,won the Snow Peak table awesomeness right there. Dave and staff another excellent job well done. I am still cleaning sand, dirt, glass, shot gun shells, brass, assorted metal and crap out of the back of my truck... who knows what I will find next.

Looks like everyone had a blast. Stupid work. On the bright side, when I got home this weekend, I have my notice to my work. They new I had something to do as I had requested Friday off.

I spoke with the BLM today and here is the final tally on our trigger trash cleanup...

... You guys collected over 3.3 TONS of trash on public lands!

THAT'S TWICE AS MUCH AS LAST YEAR! AWESOME JOB EVERYONE!

:bowdown

Awesome! But...

Given that we picked up trash in the general vicinity last year, it's a bit of a shame to see even more trash out there in one year's time...

I was just talking to some of the guys in the shop. They were stunned that we picked up that much in that small of an area.

A Grandfather and young Grandson were walking along a sandy beach. Looking ahead there were countless starfish washed ashore and stranded, as far as the eye could see. The young boy ran ahead and picked up a starfish, gently placing it back into the water. He ran back to the Grandfather smiling. The Grandfather said, "You can't possibly save all of the starfish." The Grandson replied, "No, but I saved that one."

...and even more sad, there was so much more so close to the dumpster that we couldn't pick up.

3.3 tons is fantastic and so very worth doing year after year after year...
