Teton Backcountry Rentals

Every adventure starts with a dream.

Certain experiences unite heart and mind, making everything resonate on the right frequency. It feels right. Something has to be done about it. Steps are taken to make the new dream a reality. We love stories like these.

In 2014, having graduated college, landed in—and fallen in love with—the Tetons, Pat Collins had invited friends from Boston out to his new home in Jackson, Wyoming, for some adventuring. When they discovered no one in the area rented the gear they needed, everything clicked. Teton Backcountry Rentals (TBR) was born.

They offer the staples of personal adventure gear for both summer and winter trips; tents, backpacks, stoves, personal locator beacons, splitboards, snowshoes, avalanche rescue essentials, and more. Pat, partner Jacques Li, and team (Noah Jeffrey, Kristin Sukys, and Bryan Undercoffer), have built relationships with suppliers and local business partners over the years and their hard work is paying off.

Today, a little over two years after inception, TBR has not one, but two, fully prepared Toyota adventure rigs available for rent—a Tacoma and a Tundra. Both come fully loaded with custom-built Phoenix Pop Up campers offering all the comforts of home.

Summer will be here before we know it. Adventure is calling. If you’d like to have a more personal, more meaningful adventure in Yellowstone or Grand Teton this summer and don’t have time to drive there in your own rig—or would like to try the “overlanding lifestyle” before you invest in your own setup—get in touch with Teton Backcountry Rentals.
