Wadi Al Shawka

Just some snaps from a day-trip yesterday. Sorry for the quality, my iphone usually does better, but many of these came out very hazy.

This is about 45 minutes from Dubai. The first 20 minutes in the Wadi, it is very crowded with families and small groups cooking out or picnicing. Then suddenly you're all alone. It took about three hours to drive the length of the Wadi. After the first 20 minutes, we were all alone until we got to the other end. There are a couple farms along the way. These had small shacks for the farmers to stay overnight, but no one was there when we went through.

It's always nice to see something from a new place and perspective.

Swap the camel for a burro and it could be Baja, very similar terrain. Thanks for sharing!

Ask and you shall receive . . . .
