Topper/Shell/Cap Clamps

Do the two piece clamps used to attach a shell come in different sizes?
As currently configured, my re-purposed shell doesn't come all the way to the inside of the bed rail. I'm not comfortable that the clamp grabs enough of the shell to be ideal. Do they come in different sizes, specifically the length of the horizontal legs?

I don’t trust the clamps. I just don’t. I want bolts. With washers and red loctite and nylock nuts. At least.

Well, bolts and washers and nylocks at least. Clamps are not sufficient for off road, washboard road use IMO.
