I think if my truck had been stolen once I'd have installed a kill switch or something. I had one on my Land Cruiser and my last Tacoma; I may or may not have one on the current truck.
Hopefully they get their Jeep back in good shape; around here the trolls steal vehicles just to joyride or to get back to their side of town then they set them on fire. It's just one of the reasons I'm all for hanging vehicle thieves like we used to do to horse thieves.

Back when I had an XJ, the official line from SDPD was that generally by the time they came to take your statement, the truck was already in TJ. (Luckily my incident was apparently an interrupted theft - popped lock but un-molested interior.)
