Here are the basic details for the American Adventurist Toys 4 Tots toy drive and campout.

WHO: Open to the public.

WHAT: American Adventurist Toys for Tots

WHEN: Saturday, 1 Dec 2018, 10:00am - 4:00pm.

WHERE: San Mateo Campground, 830 Christianitos Rd, San Clemente, CA 92672

WHY: Delivering Hope to Children!

*REQUIREMENTS: Bring unwrapped toys*, valued at around $10, (as many as you can afford and carry) to donate for children in need. Fill out an AAV waiver to keep lawyers happy

*VISION: Arrive Saturday and drop off toys and hang out with other great people. If you want to spend the night Saturday we'll have 40 spots that can hold at least 2 rigs each. You must pay the CA State Parks at their check-in kiosk.

STATE PARK INFO

We'll do a dessert potluck around the fire Saturday night. (Pending the placement of a central fire ring). There may be important announcements about upcoming events made around the fire... cough... 2019 Desert Rendezvous... cough...

*When shopping for toys please remember to look for a variety for all ages and for boys and girls. I know we all like buy big trucks and such, but not every kid wants to play with those. Some like to play with dolls. Some like sports.

Just to make folks drool, post up what sort of dessert you're thinking of bringing.
And to give folks some ideas post up some of your favorite desserts to have around the campfire.

Camping will be first come, first served on Saturday the 1st. There are no reservations in the part of the camp where we will be. The upper portion of San Mateo will be open to the general public so you can make a reservation in that portion if you'd like.

Exact cost to camp is a work in progress. ReserveAmerica shows $40/night. May be less but won't be more.

I have made a Quadruple Chocolate cake using chocolate milk as the fourth chocolate ingredient as opposed to regular milk... THAT was too rich.

But if you really want death by chocolate, we could always ice it in a fudge buttercream, for a Quintuple Chocolate Cake.
