Otto - The Tundra

First trimming was badly needed. Inner fenders in the front cut out, may need a little more after some articulation tests. Rear mud flaps cut, not much left.... Body mount will need top get whacked.

Much more space than it appears...

And then some power time!

And while I was running the power, I saw this. Tucked behind the Tcase actuator. 1/29/20 is probably the trucks Bday

Coming in a grommet on the bed. Fuse block will be above on the canopy.

Tucked here temporarily. Breaker will likely be on the fender.

And cheap me found some used goodies finally. One little dent, but otherwise quite clean.

Ground wire runs down to an existing bolt on the frame.

Bracket to hold the fuse panel. Pinched under the window frame and a dab of glue as well.

Fuse block in place. Screws were run in and the backs ground off before install.

Drilled a hole in the corner of the topper, terminated the wires and all loomed up.

Circuit breaker mounted and wired up. A little trim and the OE battery cover snaps right back on.

While I was there, made a little bracket. This gets held in place with the hatch bolts from the canopy, and gives me a spot to mount a light.

Flexy light, red and white, with a dimmer. Made a little hook to keep it from dropping while driving. White velcro chunks are temporary.... Although they work really well!

Excuse the mess of temp wiring, but I have one light and the fridge wired for this weekend.

Great time hanging out with some old friends this weekend. First time in the dirt for the new truck. It worked great! No real complaints other than the canopy is rubbing on the tailgate. The layout worked well, and the truck just disappears gear into it. The 4runner was always stuffed to the gills!

Ate a lot of dust. Drove up to the highest point you can drive in WA.

Body mount chop parts came in. I am thoroughly impressed. for $25, they cut and bend the plates, and send a laser cut template with them. Line the hole in the template up with an existing bolt and outline. Cannot get better! They are from SDHQ

Roof rack finally!

Using 8020 profile. Had to make some angled spacer blocks, man a mill would be nice. Flap disk worked. Just making up for the curve in the roof.

Spacer, and everything all bolted up.

Tight to the roof, and added zero height. The shark fun antenna is still taller.

Finally drove the truck in the woods at night yesterday. I will either need to aim the ditch lights way out, or way up. The light on the hood was killing me, to the point I turned them off! Good news is the headlights on this are pretty damn good. The high beams have great throw, but they are a little concentrated. I will try re aiming the lights, but they might come off.

Aimed them up and out tonight. We will see. They would need to be like 80+ degrees to not hit the hood it seems

Thought about that option!

On the Taco they cast light down the fender/hood gap line.

Combine that with the other two sets of lights on the Taco and I could see the Kamikaze deer in Eastern Washington coming across the fields!

Yeah my eyes are super sensitive to light. I aimed them out and up, we will see. I need to get some more late night driving to check. They are bright AF for the little tiny things tho!

These finally showed up! RCI sliders, ordered May 18th..... They are pretty nice though, and super beef.
