My 1967 M416 Build

Thanks! Been super busy with work so on hold for the moment. Currently just needs tail lights and a license/registration and it's ready for the road! !

I'm following this with much anticipation as this is something I'm seriously considering for 2015. Please keep posting as the build is fantastic!

As soon as I get some free time I will post some updated pictures and let you see the status. And thanks for following.

So yah, been a while.

The trailer is awaiting inspection by the VIN verifier with the CHP who is currently on vacation...o_O.

Attached are the photos of the progress ive made in my limited free time.

Everything is bolted down (Overkill with Grade 8) and wired to get me past inspection.

Several other upgrades are planned but for now its done. Other phases as my will follow as the "Chief Financial Officer" aka the wife sees it in the budget.

The last picture shows a similar rendition of what I'm going for. Thats a CVT trailer. So a removable lid and rack in two phases along with an extended front/hitch, additional electrical, lights, battery, and solar.

If anyone knows anyone looking for original M416 axle, wheels, fenders, brake handle let me know. I have it all and will sell on the cheap to,members and friends.

The trailer is road ready. Appointment with CHP on Monday. If all goes well I will go to DMV after inspection and register it.

Trailer now has an assigned identification number. DMV appointment on Friday. Hopefully we walk out with plates.

And I ordered some skinnier tires while eBay had their 15% off yesterday.

Cooper Discoverer in 235/85/16. They are an inch narrower than current tires. Saw them on a M416 at Desert Rendevous this year and liked the look.

Trailer is now licensed with permanent plates. New tires installed.

That thing looks GREAT! I wouldn’t mind one of these myself, classic style and utility. I think they’re getting rare though.

Thank you Dave! Means a lot. Definitely love this size. Very versatile and the ones out there are rising in price and the raw availability is dwindling.

Exciting updates coming by end of this week. Stay tuned!! (Well to me they are exciting)

A recent upgrade to my camping set up was a CVT My Shasta (bought it from Brett) I originally mounted it to the roof of my truck to get it home and I realized how much of a wind drag it is (haha) . And it's been up there for over 2 months now.

Long story short I wanted it on the trailer. So I went and ordered a bracket kit from: https://compact-camping-concepts-2.myshopify.com/products/no-weld-trailer-rack-corner-bracket-kits

I ordered the 12 piece set as it was needed to place the RTT and I wanted an additional bar for accessories.

Bars are set at a heiggt that I can utilize the CVT annex.

I also purchased the tailgate hardware kit from them and it was an easy install after I altered their directions due to my non standard opening. I simply added a 1" angle bracket with self tapping machine screws.
