I searched for over six months to find the right truck. I was very picky. I knew what wanted but every truck I found just always had an issue. Then in May 2012 while searching online I found this truck just listed at Moss Bros in Moreno Valley, Ca. I ran a full Car Fax and it was spotless. I emailed the Internet sales people. They were having a sale at the time and they wanted 22k for it and at the time the trucked booked at 25k. I got off work in the AM and drove down. I drove off the lot 2 hours later for 19k! After getting it home I found it was originally sold at Sierra Toyota in Lancaster. 40 miles from my house.

Before and After of the Tech Deck Install. While it was out I took the liberty of replacing the factory stereo for one with Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, Handsfree Phone.

Man, what an evolution! Very well thought out and looks great!

Thank you Dave! Very much appreciated. I have taken cues from you (along with your old Dakar leaf springs) and several others along the way. It's fun, and the boys enjoy going out with me.

Upgraded my fogs on the ARB bumper. Kit is from LABRak and is super easy to install.

At MRV 16 with the help of @Mitch and the blessing of Brian from Goose Gear we installed a dual battery kit in my truck. It's from Off Grid Engineering out of Erie, Colorado. It has the in cab switch along with a added dual battery monitor I bought from a vendor out of South Africa on EBay.

So I'm pondering a snorkel. Have eyes on a good deal on a Safari Snorkel I just need to justify the purchase.

Hmmmm

I recently made a change to my truck that I feel will better suit me when camping. Some that have seen my truck know I had the bed rack from All Pro Off-Road. Well after several excursions and Rendezvous's I have decided that while traveling and the world we live in, the rack did not provide enough security when parked while driving to or home from our camping spots. So I sold the bed rack and bed gear rack and bought a camper shell.
I found a great deal for a used Snug Top Rebel with the reinforced roof that holds up to 500 pounds. While it didn't have windoors, I couldn't pass up the deal and with the savings I put into getting a color match to my white Tacoma. I'm picking up the shell tomorrow from the shop. Then to start outfitting the bed with storage and a fridge. Suggestions for both storage and fridge are appreciated.

With purchasing the camper shell it also came with a complete bed rug for the bed.

Truck is looking good for sure!

Keep in mind that you want to keep recovery gear in a spot where it can be accessed from the driver seat.

I've had one occasion where a guy got off camber on a downhill, slope, he tried opening the driver door and the vehicle started to slide again just from the weight transfer. His winch controller was stored in the back of the vehicle where it couldn't be accessed. We ended up using a paper clip to jump the terminals on his winch to recover the vehicle. (Why winch controllers aren't compatible between winches from the same manufacturer, Warn in this case, is beyond me).

Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate it.

Great point on the gear. I tend to have my recovery gear on seat behind me or on floor board behind me.
