4 days and 3 night’s unsupported on the island.

Fun facts:

My pack - 80 lbs (house, kitchen, provisions, change of socks, sleeping gear)

My wife’s pack - maybe 30 lbs (clothes, sleeping gear)
My daughter’s pack - maybe 20 lbs (clothes, sleeping gear)

This is gonna be FUN!

:hiker

If your ride out happens to be either a DHC-2 or DHC-3, you may need to plan for an extra 180 pounds of weight.

Those are great planes - very well built - as evident from the last two crashes in July and June. Most all of the passenger survive with minor injuries, although the pilots don't always fare so well... :thumbsup

Did you just crap in my thread? :lol
Not at all... I'm applauding your decision to go with a well-established builder of such a sturdy aircraft. When they crash almost all the passengers survive.

That should be a reassuring statistic and recent one, from the crashes in June and July. Geez... try to help a brother out... o_O

I still stand by the idea I showed you on BookFace,

I mean don't you have some sort of boat training anyway?

Yeah, but it’s a 6.5 hour journey on a seagoing vessel not some random river crossing - look at a map fool!

oh.. and what could go wrong... or.. how hard could it be.. or any of the other things you're never supposed to say!
