First pitch of my Seek Outside 6-Man Tipi

I have always been fond of tipis. They are easy to set up, shed wind very well, and provide alot of interior room for minimal bulk and weight. After lots and lots of research, I decided to go with a company called "Seek Outside". I went with their 6 man tipi. With tipi, pole, and stakes it weighs about 6 lbs. I mainly bought this for winter camping, as well as some summer car camping here and there. I decided to go with a silnylon tipi over a canvas Snow Trekker tent simply because I wanted to use it year round.

I received my Seek Outside Tipi last week and set it up in the yard this weekend. The stove I am using was handmade by a friend of mine.

Cant wait to get it loaded into the pulk sled and head out into the woods!

Interesting! do you have any pictures of the stack thru the fabric?

I didnt get a shot of the stove jack, but here is a picture of someone elses setup. Its simply a piece of fire resistant fabric sew into the tent. The Seek Outside tents come standard with a stove jack installed.

Looks like a nice tent, and more portable than a regular tipi. Do you have a floor for it?

Regular tipis are pretty good all year shelters though, so long as you can deal with the weight of the cover and liner and size of the poles. Having an open fire in a tipi is one the really nice things.
