This looks like an awesome event! I just need to find someone that has the money and rig but no co-driver.

If all else fails I will attempt just to show up and be a spectator.

It should be epic... I heard at Expo that there was already buzz from the outdoor event in Pamona, CA that same weekend and that Casey Currie (BFG and Monster sponsored driver) has signed up and that other "names" are lining up. This could be really cool, pitting professional drivers against regular folks. It's not the kind of event that's just all "go fast" but has "normal" challenges too, which could really level the planning field to the all-around prepared outdoorsman's favor!

Scott Fields and Ron Parrrish told me this past weekend that they have 2 teams signed up. Should be lots of fun. If you cannot enter, contact Scott and offer to volunteer to help out

More updates are coming on this event - please be patient folks - first post updated!

I don't own a canoe, will one be provided or can I use two person kayak instead ?

We are currently getting a lot of requests asking what will all of the objectives be, other than the 3 main objectives 4x4/Navigation, canoe, and shooting we will not release these objectives until the Friday morning of the competition!!! We feel this levels the playing field and also adds to the difficulty that we want to embrace with 36 Hours of Uwharrie. I will say there will be more objectives that any one team can complete :)

Wait... a competitive event where you don't describe all the challenges in detail, just the trial itself?

Competitors will have to rely on stamina, skill, teamwork, and initiative?

That's so... so... fair! Is this 1950?
