I'm trying to figure out if I can make the time but this sounds awesome. Can a new member like me partake? I have a 4x2 Sportsmobile ('90s) - not 4x4 - how much of a prob would that be? I camped for years with various trailers and motorhomes recently got into desert/more remote camping. I see it's filling up fast!

Donated!
1 Jeep, 1 Mule.
Hope we’re North of -281’ and South of I-10. Lol

You are more than welcome and should have no problems reaching the campsite

I've been out there several times in my 2wd VW vanagon with a raging 67HP. You wont have any problems.

Nice - I had a Eurovan. It's a amazing what those ponies can do when they have all the torque behind 'em. How far are you able to get into Fish Creek? I'm curious if my lifted 4x2 van can get back there (and out - which is usually harder :) )

DATE: Desert Rendezvous is scheduled for 21 to 24 February 2019.

LOCATION: New location, coordinates will be posted here prior to the event. For those who were around in the beginning, we're going old school Rendezvous this year!

Due to the government shutdown's affects on the BLM, there will be no cleanup this year. Instead, we will be raising money for the California Off Road Vehicle Association!

There will be a POTLUCK / CAMP COOKING COMPETITION again this year! Check back here for separate thread on that soon.

Before you go, we highly recommend that you complete the "Tread Lightly 101" Online Awareness Course HERE

PLEASE do not abandon your trash bag/s in camp for "someone else" to remove, please help us on these important logistics and pack out more than you pack in. There are no dumpsters, water or other facilities at Desert Rendezvous, self sufficiency is up to you!

HOW TO REGISTER:

1. There is a non-refundable $20 RSVP fee for each vehicle for the weekend. You must be a registered member here on this forum and agree to our terms of service to be RSVP’d.

3. Once you do that, say hi and POST in this thread that you have RSVP'd!

4. Once you arrive, there will be a cash donation of $40. All proceeds cover operating costs for this event and we will be making a donation to CORVA this year!

5. American Adventurist also requires a signed hold-harmless agreement from each vehicle when you arrive (print and sign and bring with you).

HOLD HARMLESS PDF ATTACHED TO THIS POST - SCROLL DOWN

That's it!

See the 2nd post in this thread below for the Master RSVP List.

*Limited edition commemorative Rendezvous morale patches and decals will be handed out during check-in. Only RSVP's will receive this. Quantities are limited.
*AGAIN, ONE RSVP/vehicle per member. Groups must register and RSVP individually.

A NOTE ABOUT VENDORS:

While this is not a commercial event, in keeping with the tradition which began at the first SoCal Desert Rendezvous back in 2011, vendors are encouraged to attend and if they happen to sell a few things to friends out of the back of their rig that's their beeswax. Just no tables, Ezy-ups etc. Again, this is not a commercial event this is just for fun.

Vendors in attendance are however expected to support the raffle.

Vendors are people too and I know they look forward to events where they can unwind and just be themselves vice SEMA, Overland Expo, Outdoor Retailer etc. That's what the Rendezvous events are all about so if you work in this industry, but don't want to work, come on out!

If you are a vendor and are interested in getting in on sponsorship or the raffle please contact Staff Member Extraordinaire @sfsmedic via PM... thanks.

BIG THANKS TO ALL THE COMPANIES THAT SUPPORT THIS EVENT!
Hi to all. This is Rafepirate (Ralph Owen) RSVP'ing for the 2019 Desert Rendevous. See you there in my much too large ford. Paid via Paypal.

I see the Minero family still awaiting confirmation, if anyone has comms with them let them know the list is nearly full and time is running out!

If we don’t hear from them the spot can’t be held :lawyer

When we fill slot 130 we can bump them to waitlist.

Any idea when the cords will be posted? I'm trying to plan trip either before or after depending on event location.
Thanks
