Quite a few months waiting, the LFD Offroad rear bumper ships today! Guessing a 7-10 day transit time from Denver North Carolina.

12 days later!! The LFD Offroad rear bumper has arrived, roughly 3 1/2 months since I ordered it.

Unpacked, inventoried and weighed all the parts. The sum of the total comes in at 220 lbs. The main part of the bumper only weighs 118 lbs. the swing out arms are heavy!

Started the rear bumper replacement today! Removed the factory receiver hitch and attaching hardware was around 70 lbs. The LFD bumper Runs in around 220 so that’ll hurt mpg. Pretty straightforward disassemble. Trust me on this, a Harbor Freight trany jack is worth the investment !

A couple mod updates. Post DV trip the RTT came off and will only be used for longer moving trips as all soft sided RTTs are a PITA.

With that stated I installed a 100 watt Renogy solar panel in part of the location of the RTT. I used a Anderson plug at the panel and at the Redarc BCDC for quick removal.

Wanting to raise my sPOD control panel a bit higher I installed the 67 Designs Tacoma driver assist handle ball mount, arm, and sPOD mount. I raised it but also moves it towards the driver 2” ish. We will see if I like it long term.

You can make your own with parts from Ram Mount. There is a massive thread on Tacoma World about it.

I did in my truck, but see I never added it to my build thread.

I can a link to the thread and pics from my truck, if you are interested.

Sure!

The 67 Designs is much smaller than the RAM items that I currently own.

Expedition Essentials is a Washington based manufacturer of accessory mounts. The GX does not offer a great surface for clean DIY installations. A couple months ago they asked me to come by a test there prototype dash mount for the GX 460. Today they shot the installation video using my GX and was first to get my new mount.
