2018 Taco TRD Offroad

The two first aid kits I had on the R1200GS and Ural have made their way to the Tacoma and are in the back. The kit I bought for the truck is on the driver's side suicide door.

I would prefer to use the 2 scepter MFCs that I have. Haven't found a holder that works better than the Rago bed rail mounts and 3gal rotopax. This doesn't take up a significant part of the bed.

Solar worked great at OEX East even with partial cloud cover. The stands with the diver weights worked as planned and allowed positioning of the solar panels as needed.

With a clear sky the panels were generating about 115 watts

With partly cloudy skys there was still enough to maintain the fridge and top off the odyssey battery.

At about 3 pm solar was packed up. 4 p.m. engine was running and we were on our way out.

Every 50 miles I'm stopping to let the diffs cool. It's been a long 300 miles back home. Worth it through. That's numbers I haven't seen in a while. The best average after all the additional farkles was around 15.6. The engine and transmission behavior is also better. Staying in the lower RPMs without the occasional shift into 3500 - 4500 RPM range.

That’s pretty damn good considering your load out :wow
Got a short tour of ECGS. Parts wearhouse and shop are on the same site. New diffs are pre-built before the install. They had about 30 in the queue. I was in at 8 am and out by 1 pm.

Of course there is the man cave waiting room and the smell of gear oil throughout the building. Not a bad place to work remotely on the laptop.

Set up complete cooking system that keeps the bed clear and is part of the Tacoma's EDC. It includes a MSR Whisperlite Stove and fuel, Snow Peak Personal Cooker cookset, Tembo Tusk Adventure Skottle, and Mountain Hatch tailgate insert. All of it hung on Grayman Tactical Molle panels.

Of course I went with the orange one.
