What makes an adventure truly remarkable or meaningful, and why do you seek that? In other words, why must you go?
I find true rest when out in nature. For many people, rest is thought to be sitting around or sleeping, but for me, true rest is in the outdoors. Staying active and unplugging from the everyday grind rejuvenates me. Whether it’s relaxing around a campfire at base camp or pushing to complete miles to reach our destination, being in the outdoors gives me rest and motivation.
When are you most confident while on your adventures and what makes that possible?
Planning and navigating. I enjoy finding new roads to take and places to camp and thoroughly enjoy studying maps and researching. This allows me to go confidently to my destinations. I love to share the different trails and campsites with others. I want to provide a plan so that people just simply have to show up and enjoy the great outdoors. My planning and navigating give others that opportunity.
Be honest, now, where do you feel least confident?
I think my weakness is pushing my limits, and by limits, I mean venturing to places that are completely unknown to me. There are so many places to go and I’m working to push myself to venture out farther from home and more into the unknown.
