Got some garage time in yesterday. I made some tie down points for my utility trailer that I thought I’d post for your consumption. The first was made from a large j-bolt that I found at a scrap yard. It was ~14” long, I just cut the tail off. I welded it on so that it would be a tie down point and also a handle to lift the trailer. The picture is bad, but the handle is large enough to use with heavy gloves on.
The 2nd is a piece of 5/16 rod with a few simple bends. Perfect for ratchet straps.
The 3rd is just a muffler clamp bolt that I cut the threads off. I alternated #2 and #3 every 2 feet down both sides of the trailer, If anyone pitches a fit on a trip, I can now securely lash them to the trailer. This was basically free.
