Skinny on importing an Aussie trailer (Kimberly) to the USA.

NO DUTY or import taxes due to free trade agreement bet the US and AUS? Price includes shipping & ins after price adjustment based on prevailing exchange rates? State taxes apply. Here's a link for further reading.

I have to say this sounds interesting enough to warrant more research particularly since they have a limited time offer on the Classic. Just wondering if this is a viable alternative cost-wise versus buying a locally manufactured one with the same or comparable features.

Parts availabilty in North America would be my biggest concern if all of the other numbers work.

James Langan aka Redline on expo imported two of these. It was big money. I'd contact him for the lessons learned, tell him I sent ya ;)

Will do sir ;)

I just wished that with all the rv manufacturers we have in the US, one of them could come up with something similar. Otherwise, parts availability is also a concern like the gentleman posted previously since they don't have an actual presence.

I figured based on their example, a 100k AUD would be $69k USD shipped (roughly 30% off msrp), then the one they have on sale for $37k AUD would end up costing something similar to a toy hauler plus applicable state taxes which you would've to pay anyhow. I could be wrong but I will find out from him what the actual figures are. Thanks a bunch for the info.
