We recently purchased a Landcruiser through craigslist but from a mutual friend's friend... Small world I guess.
It is a 1996, 231K miles, looks like a rebuilt or used motor, purrs like a kitten, and runs great. The wife wanted some comfort and reliability on some of our farther trips and did miss our FJ Cruiser.
The previous owner had it for 2 years, clean record, and built it up himself. It came with a pre-runner front bumper, solid rock sliders, rear Aussie locker, OME 2.5 Medium lift, boxed rear frame, custom full roof rack with a Smittybilt Awning, and pretty new BFG Mud Terrains.
I picked up the truck on a Tuesday and by that Thursday was on my way to Johnson Valley for the King of the Hammers.
Luckily I have been planning a build so I already had the roof top tent but the travel cover pretty much disintegrated so I am looking for a replacement. Planning to put in a storage system, ARB 60L Fridge, small solar panel set up, and a tent for the awning.
Hoping to be able to do more overland trips this year...
