Foam sleeping bag pad

Going from a Subaru to a Jeep means effectively halving your inside-vehicle storage space. That being said, I don't really have room to carry a big, folding foam pad to put under my sleeping bag. Does anyone have any recommendations for a comfy, reasonably-priced roll-up foam pad to help save my back from sleeping on the ground? Weight and size are aren't as crucial as comfort is.

EXPED mega mat not cheap but #1 in comfort, it will be the last pad you will ever buy. You will not hear one bad thing about them and I have never seen a used one for sale.

Yes. I'm a big fan of the Thermarest Basecamp style (there are several different ones). I've had mine 10 years and it's held up great even in Iraq.

I know REI is not popular in these parts, but i have their 3" self inflating pad. about 8 years old, and i sleep better on it than my bed at home. it lives fully deployed in the back of the truck almost year round for lunch time naps
