Corona Down Time

Making space for mask production so relocated and organized a mess of gear from van, trailer, and homestead to a new spot in the cellar.

Designed and built quick shelving for the container sizes I use most, with my adventure gear containers on the top shelf.

We were suppose to be in Red River Gorge Kentucky for a 5 day backpacking trip. Instead we were stuck here in PA. So off we went for a spring hike today in Moshannon State Forest as a consolation prize. Except somebody forgot to remind Northern Pennsylvania that it was spring already...

Slippery trails and wet boots still couldn’t dampen a great day of untrodden trails, warming temps and absolutely no other human contact all day in the big woods of the Keystone State.

New back porch light hung. Condensate line for downstairs HVAC rerouted and new tubing installed. Garage and shop cleaned, again. When we'd use the hose outside the garage the water would seep into the flower bed and then follow the water supply line in through the basement wall, staining the wall. Filled the gaps in the hole around the water supply line, sealed everything up, cleaned wall and painted.

Tomorrow: root canal. Yeah! I get to leave the house!

I went crazy with a pole saw yesterday and cut back ~15 limbs that were encroaching on the yard. It was very satisfying watching them fall, less so cutting them up and dragging them away,;)

Took a break from printing stacks of surgical mask ear savers to draw up a holder for K-Cups in Fusion 360 and did a test run on the 3d printer in cheap ABS, if I like it after a week or two, I will print it in better quality and sand and paint. It holds 12 cups, 6 on each side and is mounted with command strip velcro that is inset in the back.

Spent this sunny day clearing the last of the monafloria rose and a big blown down white thorn. That was an evil tree that fought thorn and nail. After a day getting throned and torn we ordered takeout from a local Inn and made our way over to the wildlife refuge for a picnic of unhealthy but delicious fried foods. The onion rings were killer. Than we just sat and listened to the marsh until the weather front started in.

Did another 3d printed project, this time it is actually truck related. When I switched bumpers I had to remove the trailer plug as it was mounted in the bumper. So since I had some time I made a bracket to mount it to the new bumper.

This is the final design

This is it sitting on the "bumper"

I started by drawing a rough version of the plug as well as a small piece of the bumper, positioned the plug where I wanted it, and then conected the dots with the bracket.
