2018 Sprinter 4x4 144"...Take 2

Sweet!

I made the suggestion that follow the same sales model of Toyota's aftermarket TRD products. Let the dealer install at their facility. e.g. the VanGo lift. The suggestion is self serving because the Revel is probably going to be my next purchase.
Problem is the dealers are all garbage. thats the biggest issue (other than the racks, build quality, and wellyeah) they have.

Progress on the home shop is making way! I have most of the garage cleaned out from junk, got the welder and cart put together

Changed out my plug i had put in when i bought the house, to the correct one for the welder!

(installed one is right)
Then the tool cart came in, this will house my drill press and sanding station. Everything has to be on wheels in such a small space so i can actually use the space.

And I also got about 3/4 of the way done with my welding table!
2x2x2/16 base

3/8 plate top

Casters will be installed today, and the top dropped on as well. Then its home to the shop.
Today and tomorrow I hope to have most everything done, and start actually setting the garage up and maybe make something.
I got argon for the tig, an extension cord that will be here friday that will allow me to use the welder in the driveway if i had to as well. Slowly but surely I am working my way to independence from the main shop at work when they have larger projects that take up the work space

I bought a kit from this company that I really like. You can find hold down brackets everywhere online. These tops are really nice

I buy them to build, its a bit different. I anticipate 6 months with a van from start to finish

2019 4x4 when the ordering opens in Jan

Ah I thought you were doing this one for yourself after selling the last one. I have thought it would be fun to do builds.....

WEll, that was the plan! And to build another 4x4 next to it after it was done to then sell, but no availability, and someone paying asking price, stupid not to. Plus with customer vans lined up, woudlnt have time to use it really anyways.

Wow!!! And I thought I had vehicle ADD. :D

Definitely has been fun to watch. Enjoy your new Miata.... err... Fiat. I currently own a '94 Miata and two other ones in the past. I will say that it will be hard to get supplies for your van builds in that. :stars

I have a CRV, and a customer van in the driveway lol.

Its not Vehicle ADD, its setting myself up to retire in my mid 40s. lol.

Ive had a number of miatas, including a v8 one i built that turned into an exocet. Miata is always the answer
