This one doesn't stack up, not even my picture, someone else on the trip took it. It's still one of my favorite pics.

Bahia de Los Angeles, Baja Norte

My wife and I took 3 weeks off work and drove from Atlanta to the great Southwest and camped for 3 weeks in a RTT on a offroad trailer I built from an M-100.

Capitol Reef
was one of our hands down top favorite off-pavement drives ever and on this trip. The colors and landscape are quite out of this world and utterly beautiful. No one in sight and what a wonder of nature.
If you have the chance to pass Capitol Reef I strongly suggest it, plus there is a great climb at the end with IIRC 1500 elevation gain of awesomeness.

They said Horseshoe Bend at high noon is the worst time to photograph, I say you are wrong. See that white dot in the apex of the bend in the river, that's a raft, put's the sheer scale of this thing into perspective.

So an iPhone isn't too bad at this resolution [not a pro/print worthy shot by any means in my book] considering I am standing on the 3000 foot ledge above the awe powerful Colorado River, of the North Rim at Toroweep.
If you've never been or never heard, now you know and you need to go explore this wonderful region.
p.s you will need 4wd, well worth the 62 off pavement miles [at high speed] :)
